AURORA, ON, Oct. 26, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Magna’s 48-volt hybrid transmission hits the market in the Jeep Renegade, Compass e-Hybrid, Fiat 500 X and Tipo.・Bolt hybrid system. The two companies signed a multi-program agreement.

Magna’s 48V 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for hybrids delivers 320 Nm of maximum torque and torque split technology to optimize combustion engine (ICE) and electric motor efficiency. The electric motor can provide propulsion to the vehicle even when the ICE is switched off. This new transmission features separate on-demand cooling for the clutch and e-motor with a single oil circuit for cooling and lubrication, resulting in significant CO2 emissions.2 Reduction of WLTC and actual driving.
