About Us

Eminetra Canada is a digital news publication covering immigration, housing, personal finance, and work in Canada. We exist for one reason: the rules that shape people’s lives here — who can move, who can buy, who can work, and how much they’ll pay in tax — change constantly, and most people don’t have time to track every update from IRCC, the CRA, or provincial governments themselves. We do that tracking, and we write it up in plain language.

What we cover

  • Immigration & Visas — Express Entry, permanent residency pathways, study and work permits, citizenship
  • Housing & Real Estate — mortgage rules, rental markets, home-buyer programs like the FHSA and Home Buyers’ Plan
  • Money & Taxes — CRA changes, federal and provincial benefits, personal finance
  • Jobs & Work Permits — labour market rules, LMIA, minimum wage changes
  • Government & Policy — federal and provincial announcements affecting residents and newcomers
  • Living in Canada — healthcare, education, and settlement guidance for day-to-day life

Our editorial approach

Every article is checked against primary sources — government websites, official notices, and published regulations — at the time of writing, and we note when something has since changed. Bylines identify the writer or our editorial team; we don’t publish anonymously. If you spot something that’s out of date or incorrect, tell us — see our Corrections Policy below.

Corrections policy

We aim to be accurate first and fast second. If a reader flags an error, we verify it against the original source and correct the article as soon as we can, noting the update at the top of the piece with a revised “last updated” date. Significant errors are corrected transparently rather than quietly edited. To report an error, use the contact details on our Contact Us page.

Ownership & independence

Eminetra Canada is an independently operated publication. We are not affiliated with, and do not speak on behalf of, the Government of Canada, IRCC, or the CRA. Our reporting on their programs and rules is based on publicly available information.
