Insurance market Lloyd’s has closed a cyber investigation it initiated after detecting unusual activity on its network.
Lloyds said in an update: As a result, an aggressive decision was made to take some systems offline and conduct cybersecurity investigations. This was led by a dedicated team and his two specialist partners, his Mandiant and his NTT.
“The investigation concluded that no evidence of compromise was found and Lloyd’s was informed that network services could now be restored. We are continuing to work on it and currently expect it to be completed by Wednesday, October 12th.”
Lloyd’s said it would not reconnect the system until it was confident it was completely secure before a cyber investigation was completed.
However, no explanation or details were provided as to what caused the unusual network activity.
