Upgrade your performance with the new Coros Apex 2 and Apex 2 Pro watches

On November 3rd, Coros renewed its mid-range sports watch range with the launch of two new watches in the Apex range. The Apex 2 and Apex 2 Pro are successors to his original Apex, which boasted long battery life for multisport athletes. Apex 2 retains most of the core Apex components, but the new version includes some new features like extended battery life, mapping, music storage, and more.

The Pro has all the great features of Coros plus longer battery life. In smartwatch mode, it lasts nearly twice as long as the Apex 2 and 30 hours more GPS battery life than the Apex 2’s standard 45 hours.

In standard smartwatch mode, Coros says you can get 17 days on the Apex 2 and 30 days on the Apex 2 Pro.

Another new feature on both Apex models is the full sapphire glass touchscreen and titanium alloy bezel. The two models weigh similar, with the Apex 2 at 42 grams and the Pro at 53 grams. The Pro’s extra weight is due to its larger battery and screen size.

Side by side, the difference in screen size is obvious, but the Apex 2 Pro’s data is easier to read while running. This improvement is offset by the lighter weight of Apex 2.

Another difference between the two is the internal storage. The Apex 2 offers 8GB of storage, while the Apex 2 Pro offers 32GB.

The Apex 2 features map and music storage, but users can only manually load music files onto the watch. There is currently no support for music streaming services, but this issue is being worked on and may be released in next year’s firmware update.

The Apex 2 is available in Black, Gray, or Coral and is available for $579. The Apex 2 Pro is available in black, gray and green for $699. Both watches are available now and could be the perfect gift for the runner in your family this holiday season.
