Mattea Roach Defeats Fellow Jeopardy Super Champion

The Queen of Canada’s Quiz Show has taken the crown.

Mattea Roach defeated fellow “Jeopardy” super-champions Amy Schneider and Matt Amodio in a special exhibition game on Tuesday before the trio entered a tournament of champions.

She won $17,600, compared to Schneider’s $904 and Amodio’s $3,600.

A native of Halifax and now calling Toronto home, Roach became a “Jeopardy” contestant with the fifth-longest streak in the show’s history earlier this year.

Schneider is second longest and Amodio third.

The three will compete in the Tournament of Champions semi-final round in a series of games starting Wednesday.
