Damian Warner drops out of decathlon after pulling a hamstring

Canadian Olympic gold medalist Damian Warner After being injured in the hamstring during the last event of the first day, 400m, he withdrew from the decathlon of the World Athletics Championships.

Warner started running 400m from the block, but after entering 120m he grabbed the hamstring and pulled it up and fell. Warner stayed on the truck for a few minutes before going up and down the truck.

A 32-year-old decathlon from London, Ontario. 75-point lead rushes into the fifth event Zachery Ziemek Of Team USA.

“I don’t know what happened,” Warner said. Said CBC sports.. “I felt the hamstring pulled a few times. I felt something went wrong and I couldn’t continue.”

Warner has come a long way after winning a gold medal at World Indoor this spring and fighting injuries.

“I hope this will be healed, do what all other athletes are doing and become stronger, and hopefully we can return to the top of the world again.” Warner says.

Active Olympic champions were trying to win world championship gold medals after previously winning bronze and silver medals. Warner set the fastest time in the 100m and made the most leap in the long jump. He set the season best with a high jump and shot put before suffering a hamstring injury.

Canadian Fellow Piers Lepage With a time of 46.84, he ran his personal best 400m and became the second pace in five events. The second day of the decathlon begins with the 110m hurdles in the morning, followed by the discus and pole vault.Decathlon starts at 12:30 pm (Eastern Time)
