Toronto –

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared on Friday’s episode of “Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World” and offered words of inspiration to contestants before the main challenge.

Trudeau is touted as the first world leader to visit the tournament series founded by RuPaul.

In the episode, the Prime Minister shared his thoughts on Canada’s efforts to embrace diversity, pointing out that much more needs to be done to build alliances in Canada.

After his remarks, the queens were moved by his words.

Competitor Stephanie Prince said teary-eyed that Trudeau’s immigration efforts had made it easier for performers to move to Canada in search of a better life.

Guest judges for this episode included ‘Canadian Drag Race’ winner Priyanka and activist Sarein Fox, who joined standing judge Tracy Melchor.

Host Brooklyn Heights thanked Trudeau for supporting the LGBTQ community and marching in the Pride Parade.

“Can we go beyond ‘tolerance’ to accept, love, accept, learn from and be challenged? That’s how we build resilient societies,” Trudeau replied. “That’s what we’re trying to do in Canada, and we still have a lot of work to do.”

Trudeau’s brief appearance matched the vibrant energy of the spin-off, in which international drag queens compete in challenges and lip-sync battles until a winner is determined.

“I hate to see you go, I love to see you go, baby,” cried Isis Couture as the group watched Trudeau exit.
