Former Canadiens defenseman PK Subban has a new job.

Subban announced his retirement as a player in September after playing 13 seasons in the NHL, including his first seven with the Canadiens. On Thursday, ESPN announced that Subban will join the TV network as a full-time member of his hockey coverage team.

Subban has signed a three-year deal with ESPN. He works primarily as an analyst for his studio, but also does commentary for several NHL games.

As a recently retired player, Mark Gross, ESPN’s senior vice president of production and remote events, said Subban will bring a “fresh perspective” to the network’s hockey coverage.
