But right now there is a lot of talk about the future of curling at Roseland. The city will soon decide the fate of the facility.

With a new city council in place, it’s time to work with the curling community and come up with plans to either renovate existing rinks or build new facilities.

Much smaller cities across our country maintain active and thriving curling rinks.

In the city, residents can enjoy many activities such as golf, soccer, baseball, hockey, skating, skateboarding, pickle ball, swimming, diving, and tennis. Curling should also be included.

Curling requires little equipment and is a great activity for everyone, regardless of age or fitness ability. It’s also a great way to get through the dreary winter.

Curling is growing in popularity in Canada and internationally. Most of the world’s best men’s and women’s teams are Canadian.

Hundreds of people visit Roseland’s Curling Club each week. This club includes league, open youth he curling, Bonspiel, local school curling teams and clubs. They often pay to use the facilities and then spend the money in the clubhouse.

In my view, the city has done nothing to promote or encourage the use of curling facilities. do not have.

Windsor needs a curling rink, not a converted hockey rink in town. It should also be advertised together with other city attractions.

You have to find a way to keep curling facilities in town.
