ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Los Angeles Angels acquired power-hitter outfielder Hunter Renfroe on Tuesday night in a trade for the Milwaukee Brewers and three young pitchers.

Milwaukee gets right-handers Janson Junk and Elvis Peguero and minor-league left-hander Adam Seminaris.

The 30-year-old Renfroe is making his first appearance for the Brewers, batting .255 with 29 homers, 72 RBIs and a .807 OPS in 125 games this season. He led the right fielders in his league in the majors with his 11 assists and ranked him 10th in the National League with a .492 slugging percentage.

Renfroe is eligible for arbitration again and could get a pay raise after taking a salary of $7.65 million this year. He could become a free agent after next season.
He will join the Angels’ team looking for an offense to support superstars Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in a top-heavy lineup.

The 26-year-old Junk spent most of the season in Triple-A Salt Lake, but made three appearances for the Angels, including two starts. He went 1-for-1 with a 6.48 ERA in his 8 1/3 innings.
Peguero, 25, appeared in 13 reliefs for the Angels this season, posting a 6.75 ERA in 17 1/3 innings. He pitched in 38 games for Salt Lake.
Seminaris, 24, was selected by the Angels in the fifth round of the 2020 draft from Long Beach State. He has a combined 21 starts and three relief appearances this year at High-A Tri-City, Double-A Rocket City and Triple-A Salt Lake, going 7-11 with an ERA. was 3.54.
