Calgary Health Foundation Announces Murray Sigler as New Interim President and CEO of Canadian Business Journal

CALGARY, Alberta, November 3, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Murray Sigler, a respected Calgary business leader, is the new interim president and CEO of the Calgary Health Foundation.

Mr. Sigler’s career-leading mega-organization will allow him to bring his experience to increase the impact of philanthropy on Calgary’s health sector.

Prior to joining the Calgary Health Foundation, Mr. Sigler was appointed Interim CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce in 2020. He has served as his CEO and Executive Director since January 2016 before serving as Executive Advisor to Calgary Sports since 2019. Murray is also a principal of Calgary-based Altius Corporation. Altius is a private investment and consulting firm serving clients in sports, aviation, tourism, technology and international commerce.

Until June 2016, Murray served as President of Axia North America and Senior Vice President of Axia at Axia Net Media Corporation (TSX “AXX” until going private in 2016).

Prior to joining Axia in 2009, Murray was Managing Director of the Government of Alberta’s UK office for three and a half years. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and had an extensive career in the aviation industry, including President and COO of Canadian Airlines International, Canadian Regional where he served as CEO of Airline, This includes the first president and CEO of the Winnipeg Airport Authority.
