Teen charged in connection with Bowmanville stabbing, police say – Durham

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after being stabbed in Bowmanville, Ontario, police said.

Durham County Police said stabbings were reported near Kenneth Cole Drive and Bruce Cameron Drive around 9:24 pm on Saturday.

Police say the man’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

Officers said the victim was taken to a Toronto area trauma center and is in stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested, police said. He was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The defendant’s identity cannot be made public under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
