Police said the incident took place in the Thorncliff community around 5 pm on January 13. When the man approached one of the dogs and started kicking it, two friends were walking their service dog along a path near 500 blocks on Blackthorn Road NE.
Police say the suspect began assaulting him when the dog owner asked the man to stop.
The suspect is a man who appears to be 50 to 60 years old. He was 5’6 “to 5’8” and had a slim figure, long white or gray hair, mustache, and beard.
If you have information about the identity of the man in the photo, you will be asked to contact the Calgary Police Service (403-266-1234) or leave anonymous information on the crime stopper.
