Why Cameron Diaz chose Benji Madden for a special holiday gift

E!: Have you reached out to Joel Madden for any insight when shopping for gifts for your husband?
CD: I think it’s a good way. If you’re stuck with gifts, ask your twins or someone very close. If there’s something they really love and it’s outside of what you’re doing with them, ask the other person. I don’t mind tagging ideas because I just want everyone to like what they get.

E!: Is it easy for your sister-in-law, Nicole Richie, to buy holiday gifts?
CD: She’s just cool with getting little things at home. Or sometimes I don’t get her anything but she’s fine with it. Last year it was like, “Can I get you something for Christmas?”

E!: When the movie is finished, will you give gifts to the cast and crew?
CD: There are always gifts for the crew. Often it’s a sweatshirt, t-shirt, or bag, and it can be personalized. Get closer to the crew. It depends on the details here that you’re shooting and what you did together during or off the shoot.

E!: If you were shopping for someone else’s child, what gift would you recommend?
CD: I’m going with cash. I think there are some very good things. Gift certificates are nice. I always ask my parents which store they like and get a card for that store.
