Pedestrian deaths, another critical issue after Brampton crash

A pedestrian was killed and another seriously injured in a crash in Brampton on Friday morning, according to Peel District Police.

Police said they responded to reports that two pedestrians collided on Heritage Road and Steeles Avenue at about 5:45 a.m.

Police said one pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and another was in a life-threatening condition.

The intersection is blocked on all sides as the police are investigating.

The area is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time, police said.
