“I’m a very loving person, so I hug my parents a lot. Every time I hug them, they feel my back and my spine and tell me my back is weird,” she said of her father. A surgeon who noticed this problem.

Earlier this month, Grace shared on Twitter that she plans to undergo medical procedures to correct her spine.

As she explained, dealing with scoliosis while working as an actress was extremely difficult prior to her surgery.

“In ‘Ghostbusters,’ I didn’t really hide my big, clunky, giant back brace. No, but I didn’t want the production to think too much and think I was responsible,” Grace said.

In addition to needing an outfit tailored to her condition, Grace decided to take a vacation in the middle of filming “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

“It was very difficult to schedule the surgery while doing everything,” she said. “I’ve been shooting her since about May, and from that project I quickly moved on to another six-day-a-week project. It was for months.”

Thankfully, the results of the surgery were positive for the actress.

“Actually, I went to the gym for the first time this morning. I’m starting to get back to my normal activities. I didn’t realize how much my spine was holding me back. Now that I’ve fixed my spine, I want to get back in shape. 6 a week. I exercised during the day and didn’t make any progress,” she said.

“I think it was a lot of my frame of mind, but even after my spinal surgery, I feel like I’m looking the best I’ve ever been with my body, even though I haven’t exercised in months. I think that’s how much it hurt my spine.I feel like a new person. It’s crazy.”
