A new exhibit showcasing the work of former Windsor star cartoonist Mike Glaston opens Wednesday at the University of Windsor Creative Arts School.

A show called Mike Glaston’s Editorial Cartoons, 1981-2016: The History of How It Happened highlights some of the more than 2,600 cartoons the artist has recently contributed to the University of Windsor.

The donated work spans most of Glaston’s career. During his 36 years as a star editorial cartoonist, he has used his talents to document and comment on political, social and cultural events, from global events to hyperlocal moments.

Graston’s cartoons have resonated around the world
Glaston’s donation allows his cartoons to become more accessible to the public. But it also ensures that they are protected forever. When not on display, comics are stored in acid-free folders and boxes in temperature-controlled vaults at the Lady Library Archives .
Free shows at the School of Creative Arts (SoCA), located in the former Windsor Armories building at 37 University Avenue E., run through November 27th.
It is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
