A friendly exe, or something more? Florence Pugh has fans speculating about her relationship status with her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff after exchanging supposedly flirtatious comments on her Instagram post.
On Thursday, Braff took to its social media platforms to promote the charity auction for good causes.
“Join @donald_aison and me in a 30-minute Zoom bid on eBay. used,” Braff shared.
Pugh, who dated Braff for three years before they split a few months ago, commented on the post, “I’m not bidding on this.”
Braff made sure to remember to reply to his ex.
Some said the exchange hinted at a rekindled romance between the stars, while others simply praised the two for staying friends and managing not to get embroiled in a nasty breakup.
The “Don’t Worry Darling” star confirmed that she and Braff have quietly split in a recent interview for the September issue. Harper’s Bazaar.
The breakup occurred earlier this year, according to the magazine, three years after the first photo evidence of their PDA was released in April 2019.
“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing because it’s been a relationship where everyone has an opinion,” she told the magazine. We felt we could really get the advantage of not having to tell us how happy we were not together. Talking about it automatically makes my throat thump.”
Since their romance emerged publicly, the spotlight has been grim at times, as critics took issue with the 21-year age gap, prompting Pugh to stand by their relationship.
In April, she marked Braff’s 47th birthday with a tribute posted on her Instagram story.
