of washington post reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk wasn’t too pleased with a video that allegedly showed a Tesla car crashing into a child-sized mannequin. According to the Post, Musk found the footage defamatory and devalued Tesla’s driver assistance features. In addition to the criticism, Tesla also sent a cancellation letter to the Dawn Project, who released the video. The group uses the video as an example to speak out against the effectiveness of self-driving cars. In addition to advocacy groups, the U.S. Highway Traffic Safety Administration is also investigating Tesla’s driver assistance system. The government recently stepped up its investigation after a number of crashes involving Tesla vehicles with parked emergency vehicles.

Apple’s iPhone event will take place on September 7th, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 14. Bloomberg reported that Apple has applied for names like Reality One, Reality Pro and Reality Processor. Speculation about whether Apple will move to VR has been circulating since 2017, but a series of leaks in recent months seem to indicate that it’s getting a little closer to reality. Even if they do, they are unlikely to announce anything at the September 7th event.
