Teenagers are using Facebook less and less. In a research study, the Pew Research Center found that only 32% of his teens in the United States between the ages of 13 and 17 use the Facebook app. This is a significant drop from the same study by Pew, which reported a figure of 71% in 2015. Since its peak, Facebook has seen this population decline every year. This led Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to call for new efforts last year to attract younger users. According to the survey, YouTube is the most popular platform, with 95% of his teens surveyed saying they use it. The video app said TikTok was his second, with 67% of teens using it. While Facebook has not attracted his teenage demographic, Meta-owned Instagram was his third most popular social media app among teens.

Another survey found that 62% of respondents across generations believe they see misleading information online every week. According to MediaWise research, Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X are slightly more confident in their fact-checking abilities than Baby Boomers and Silent Generations. More than half of people under the age of 26 are concerned about exposing their families to misinformation. The study also found that Gen Zers are more likely to check social media comments and use search engines for fact-checking. It’s also likely to be more rigorous using reverse image searches and a technique called “lateral reading,” which involves opening multiple searches in multiple tabs to glean more information, Poynter says. The FCC has rejected SpaceX’s bid for nearly $900 million in aid through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund. In a statement, the FCC said it “failed to demonstrate” that Starlink could provide the requested service. FCC Chairman Jessica Rosenworcel said Starlink had “real promise” but failed to approve subsidies for new technology that would require a $600 satellite dish. SpaceX nearly two years ago he won the auction in December 2020. The company said using the subsidy he will serve 35 locations. She also promised prices in sync with terrestrial broadband and said it would stick to the schedule for building the service. Researchers from Stanford University and Nvidia have teamed up to develop VR glasses that look like normal glasses. Simply called “holographic glasses”, these glasses can provide a full-color 3D holographic image of him using optics that are only 2.5 mm thick.
