Gallagher has announced the appointment of Tim Wright as a consultant for its global aerospace operations. In his new role, Mr. Wright will be responsible for providing risk management and expert insurance advice to the company’s international space clients, as well as supporting business development in this area.
Wright has over 30 years of experience in space insurance, representing clients as a broker and underwriting space risk for all major operators, satellite manufacturers and rocket providers. Most recently, in 2014, he was Chief Underwriting Officer of Space at Altitude Risk Partners, which he co-founded with Wright, and Nexus Underwriting, which he acquired in 2018. He started his career as a Willis broker in the late 1980s before joining Johnson and Higgins. He has also held positions with Aon and Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers.
