Florence + The Machine postpone rest of UK tour after singer Florence Welch breaks leg

To Brent Furdick.

Due to the injury of singer Florence Welch, the remainder of Florence + The Machine’s UK tour has been postponed.

On Saturday, November 19, Welch revealed on Instagram that he broke his leg and performed the night before, unaware of the injury.

“Last night I had x-rays done and it looks like I was dancing on a broken leg which is very disappointing. It’s not my nature to postpone shows and I’m not in a position to postpone a UK tour. I was told not to perform to avoid further harm,” she wrote in an open letter to fans.

“My heart aches because the Dance Fever Tour was my all-time favorite show. Fellowship with you. Your beautiful face shines,” she continued.

“I love you so much and I’m so sorry to anyone I’ve let down,” she added, adding, “My heart aches. I can’t wait to get back up and back in your arms.”

Florence + The Machine wrapped up the North American tour of their ‘Dance Fever’ tour in the summer, but the remainder of the group’s current tour, which runs through the end of November, has been postponed.
