Being an adult in 2022 is stressful.I have many It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all that’s going on in our lives. In particular, Kindergarten child.

‘Peptoc’ is a hotline started by Ashera Weiss and Jessica Martinart teacher at Westside Elementary School in Healdsburg, CaliforniaThey were impressed by the resilience students have shown from negative events such as the pandemic and wildfires in California. They worked with those students to record positive messages for those who need a little boost in their day.

When you first dial the hotline ((707) 873-7862), you will be greeted with this cheerful message: Public art project by Westside School! From there, you’ll hear a variety of pep talk options depending on your current mood.

• If you’re angry, irritable, or nervous, press 1.
• For a word of encouragement or life advice, press 2.
• If you want chit-chat from kindergarteners, press 3.
• Press 4 if you need to hear children laughing happily.
• Press 5 for encouragement in Spanish.
• Press 6 to hear how you look.
• Press 7 for a bonus pep talk.

With each option, you hear unscripted words of encouragement from elementary school students. You can expect affirmations like, “Lady, you’re doing great,” along with advice like: “MeIf you’re nervous, go get your wallet and spend it on ice cream or juice. ” Wise beyond their years.

There are seven different options to try, but it won’t take long to hear them all.Definitely worth your time if you want to boost your mood.All these options are also pre-recorded so you can always go back to hear your favourites.
