Luke Bryan Accuses ‘American Idol’ Co-Judge Katy Perry Over Thomas Rhett Duet (Exclusive)

Brian spoke with ET’s Rachel Smith on the red carpet for this year’s star-studded awards ceremony at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. to the country.

Perry and Thomas Rhett released their collaboration “Where We Started” last month, and Brian understands why he didn’t collaborate with him in the first place.

“Look, okay, okay. She’s staying in the age group,” Brian quipped.

In April, Thomas Rhett told ET about the collaboration and how it came about. “

“I wasn’t involved in it. My record label called me and said, ‘Would you like to collaborate with Thomas Rhett?’ The 32-year-old singer told her ET’s Rachel Smith backstage at her CMT Music Awards, “I was like, ‘She doesn’t know who I am.’ I sent it, and she liked the song.”

The 2022 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on ABC on Wednesday, November 9 at 8:00 PM ET. The show will also be available on Hulu from the next day.
