Driver seriously injured in crash on Edmonton’s Anthony Henday Drive – Edmonton
The 33-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an overnight crash on Anthony Henday Drive Wednesday.
Around 1 a.m. Wednesday, police said a pickup truck was rear-ended by a slow-moving tractor-trailer unit on the northwest section of the Edmonton Ring Road.
The collision occurred along Henday near Campbell Road.
In a news release just before 5 a.m., police said the eastbound lane of Anthony Henday Drive on Campbell Road was closed as a result of the crash. Traffic had been rerouted at the Campbell Road exit.
Police said the 33-year-old driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they were not life-threatening.
