Why Ryan Murphy regrets the Cory Monteith episode of Glee

Ryan Murphy wishes he handled Cory Monteithdeath another day Gree.

The show’s creators revealed about the series’ emotional tribute episode to Monteith on the Nov. 7 episode titled “Quarterback.” And that’s what you really missed, Jenna Ashkowitz When Kevin McHaleof Gree podcast. During the episode, Murphy revealed that he wanted more time between Monteith’s death and the filming of the series’ fifth season, adding that the episode was “too raw and too fast.”

“If we had to do it all over again, we would have been out of action for a very long time and probably never come back,” Murphy explained. Because you can’t really recover from that.”

Murphy added that “that spirit of joy left the building” after Monteith died. Ultimately, he said the team decided to continue the show in order to keep the crew employed.
