VanVleet has 30 points and 11 assists as Raptors pass Bulls

On a night without Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet did the hard work.

VanVleet had 30 points and 11 assists in the first game after losing three straight with a strained back to lead Toronto to a 113-104 victory over former Raptors DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

OG Anunoby had 22 points and Scotty Barnes had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Toronto (6-4). Gary Trent finished with 12 points and Christian Koroko with 11 points.

DeRozan, who had a 46-point performance in Boston on Friday, led the Bulls (5-6) with 20 points, while Nikola Vucevic had 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Trailing 13 points in the first half, the Raptors increased their deficit by 10 points in the third quarter. However, the Bulls found momentum and pulled back within 83-82 to start his fourth, with a 6-point lead that saw him start the quarter on a 7-0 run.
