CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 4, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NEWS RELEASE — TC Energy Corporation (TSX, NYSE: TRP) (TC Energy) announces the pre-construction of the Saddlebrook Solar Project near Alderside, Alberta. start the activity. TC Energy is investing $146 million to build the first Canadian solar project. It has 81 megawatts of generating capacity, enough to power 20,000 homes per year. TC Energy has obtained all regulatory approvals and permits. Construction is expected to be completed in 2023. Around 140 workers are expected to support the project during the construction phase. Once operational, his two full-time employees from TC Energy will work at the facility.
