A company that assists NAVFAC with a focus on intrusion control implementation and mission preparation

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 28, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TSX, New York Stock Exchange: STN

Stantech, a world leader in sustainable design and engineering, has been awarded a multidisciplinary Selected for Leading Architect/Engineer and Consulting Services (IDIQ) Single Award Task Order Contract.

The IDIQ contract awarded to Stantec Government Services focuses primarily on NAVFAC intrusion control implementation and mission readiness, maintenance and compatibility services at Navy and Marine Corps facilities in Southern California. Through this agreement, Stantec may support additional of his NAVFAC responsibilities. Erosion, as defined by NAVFAC, is primarily any planned or executed non-naval action that may impede, diminish, or impede the conduct of naval operations.

The award follows a similar five-year IDIQ in which Stantec (formerly Cardno Government Services) helped develop the Navy’s enterprise decision support system for intrusion control. The system supports Navy and Marine Corps installations to achieve a wide range of mission sustainment goals.

Bill Halperin, president of Stantech Government Services, said: “This contract supports the U.S. Navy’s mission and ensures resilience by providing innovative solutions to the challenges of aggression.”

Providing Comprehensive Service
Through the new agreement, Stantec will continue to support NAVFAC by:

  • land use plan
  • Intrusion Action Plans and Strategies to Minimize or Avoid Intrusion Impacts on Mission Sustainability
  • Geospatial analysis
  • Navy and Marine Corps Aviation Facilities and Training Ranges Interchangeable Use Plans
  • Strategic Engagement and Communications Plan and Public Relations Materials
  • Custom web-based intrusion management, decision making, impact assessment and reporting tools

Stantech will also conduct various special studies on NAVFAC under this agreement. These include renewable energy research, economic impact modeling, national environmental policy law documentation, traffic studies, visual impact assessment, flight hazard analysis, unmanned aerial system flights for data acquisition, environmental and real estate surveys, post-mortem Includes training assessment.

Extended expertise for multi-level government
The deal highlights the value created by Stantech’s acquisition of Cardono late last year. Cardno has enhanced Stantec’s presence and growth prospects in areas such as local and federal government programs, infrastructure services and environmental services.

Erosion Control IDIQ adds to Stantec’s portfolio of joint work with the US Navy and NAVFAC. In recent years, Stantec’s invasion management staff helped create a project management and GIS web-based application called the Mission Compatibility Analysis Tool. This allows for efficient evaluation, documentation and communication of potential developments that may intrude on military missions.
