Spod Lithium Corp. Involved in Japosat – Identifies Potential Pegmatite – Begins Fieldwork, Canadian Business Journal

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, October 6, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Spot Lithium Co., Ltd. (SPOD” or “Company) (CSE: SPOD) announces the identification of potential pegmatites at the Megari and Lithium Grande 4 properties in the James Bay Territory. Spod has engaged Japosat Satellite Mapping (“Japosat”) of Montreal, Quebec to provide analysis of satellite imagery for the Company’s Megali and Lithium Grande 4 projects. We are very encouraged by the images received from Japosat.

Japosat acquired and processed satellite imagery to provide detailed data identifying areas of surface outcrops of minerals, areas of potential lithium mineralization, priority sites for surface sampling, and accessibility information. The satellite mapping results are very encouraging and strongly suggest the presence of numerous granitic pegmatite outcrops in both projects. Analysis of the data and final report will be used to formulate the next season of sampling and exploration field work currently planned for both projects over the next two weeks. Since 2008, Japosat has provided satellite imaging studies for mineral exploration projects in the Americas, Africa and Asia.

Below is a summary of the Japosat report.

North area:

Whitish rock outcrops and cobblestones, likely of pegmatite granite composition, are located primarily in the southwestern part of the northern block of the claim. The greatest concentration of outcrops, subcrops and rocks appears to be spatially arranged within an east-west structure approximately 1000 meters long and 200 meters wide. Some small outcrops appear to have a preferred SW-NE orientation and a levee-like shape.

Southeast area:

Whitish rock outcrops and cobblestones, believed to be of pegmatite granite composition, are located primarily in the northern part of the eastern block of the claim. These claims have a nice concentration of subcrops and boulders. They all appear whitish to bright cyan in fake infrared satellite imagery, as in the northern region.

Southwest area:

Whitish rocky outcrops and cobblestones, likely of pegmatite granite composition, are located primarily in the eastern northern part of the main block of claim. Areas with relatively large outcrops are

  1. Within the northern and central parts of the claim, whitish outcrops appear constrained by SW-NE folds 1000 m long and 3–15 m wide.
  2. In the south a whitish outcrop appears to be restricted by another SW-NE significant structure 1000m long and 100m wide.

The Japosat report further recommends a) LiDAR surveys and b) systematic pegmatite sampling to assess lithium grades/resources at the surface.

CEO Chris Cooper said: A number of targets have been identified by Japosat and the CV13 pegmatite cluster discovered by Patriot last month lies just 1300 meters from our project. ”

The Megali property consists of 78 mining concessions covering a total area of 3,996.67 hectares (40 square kilometers) and the Lithium Grande 4 project consists of 41 mining concessions covering 2,100 hectares (21 km2). Both the Megali and Lithium Grande 4 projects are adjacent to Patriot Battery Metals’ project, less than 2.7 km south-southeast (Megali) and less than 2.0 km south (Lithium Grande 4) of Patriot’s newly discovered Corvette lithium project. is.
