Rebel Wilson reveals the meaning behind her baby name

Rebel Wilson surprised fans Monday by revealing that she is a mother and welcomed daughter Lois Lillian through a surrogate mother.

in an interview with peoplethe “Pitch Perfect” star revealed her daughter’s full name is Lois Lillian Elizabeth Wilson, and she explained the meaning behind those names.

“I wanted an original name that started with R, so that’s what I ended up with,” she said of why she chose the name Royce.

Middle names for newborns also have meaning.

“Lillian and Elizabeth are both surnames carried by women in families that I admire,” she explained. “Elizabeth is also my middle name, after the late Queen.”

Wilson announced Lois’ arrival on Instagram, sharing an adorable photo of the toddler.

“This past week I am proud to announce the birth of my first child, Lois Lillian, via surrogacy,” Wilson wrote in a statement.

“My love for her is indescribable. She is a beautiful miracle!” she added. “I am eternally grateful to everyone involved (I know who you are), this has taken many years to create…especially carrying her and such grace I wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate for giving birth with care and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s a wonderful gift.
