The Canada Running Series (CRS) and Jevitty Life Science have worked together to offer a unique new award to the oldest runners who completed the Vancouver Half Marathon in less than two hours this Sunday. The person will receive the Jevitty Golden Shoe Award, a $ 200 wallet, and a prize pack.
“The Jevitty Golden Shoe Award is aimed at inspiring senior athletes who are willing to lead a healthy lifestyle, but more importantly, it is aimed at inspiring others. Edwitt Rock I did it for many Canadians. ” Jerry Kroll, CEO of Jevitty Life Science.

The goal of this collaboration between the two organizations is to spread awareness of a healthy life as they age. “What is important for all senior runners to understand is their bone density level,” says Kroll. “Understanding body and muscle mass can help you learn how to live healthier and improve your performance as you age.”
“This award is about celebrating life,” he says. Ryan Chiribek, Vancouver Half Marathon Race Director. “After two years of virtual racing, it seemed appropriate to celebrate longevity at the first face-to-face event after the pandemic.”

The prize pack includes Jevitty’s Body Composition Imaging Scan Package, designed to help athletes understand the strengths and weaknesses of their body and how they can improve their overall health and fitness. The company plans to release a phone app later this summer to help athletes track training, nutrition and recovery.
“These records you see are not miracles,” says Kroll. “Knowing yourself and taking care of yourself can help you live longer and improve your performance.”
