The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has released an update to the Specially Designated Nationals List (OFAC’s SDN List). It lists numerous individuals accused of being involved in Iran-related ransomware. The list also shows seven Bitcoin addresses allegedly associated with Iranian ransomware gangs.
Iran Adds 7 New Bitcoin Addresses To SDN List Following Tornado Cash Ban
After the Treasury watchdog, OFAC, banned Ethereum mixer Tornado Cash, OFAC published a new SDN list update on September 14, 2022. An update to the SDN list lists two specific companies and 10 of his people accused of participating in and financing an Iran-based ransomware scheme. .

Other addresses received her BTC, like this one. This address is allegedly associated with an Iranian named Ahmad Khatibi Aghada because he once held 0.2931 BTC.
The 9/14 SDN update added “Cyber-Related Designations, [and] Iran-related designations in the last two weeks. OFAC published amendments to cyber-related designations on September 2, 2022, and on September 8, 2022 and he published amendments to two “Iran-related designations” on September 9. The update published Wednesday is the only “Iran-related designation” update that includes his newly added BTC address. .
