Midland Solidifies Land Position, Assessing Lithium Potential in Mithril and Mithril Regional Projects Near Patriot Battery Metals Lithium Discovery, Canadian Business Journal

MONTREAL, September 22, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Midland Exploration Inc. (“Midland”) (TSX-V:MD) has secured land positions at the Mythril and Mythril Regional Cu-Mo-Au-Ag projects (wholly owned by Midland) in Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec to assess lithium potential. Midrand closed a strategic investment with BHP Billiton Canada Inc. after exploration discovered mithril, a copper-gold mineral system, in late 2018. (“BHP”) Spring 2019, total $5.85 million for copper exploration in Quebec.

An exploration rush is underway in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay area for lithium-bearing pegmatites. The Mithril and Mithril Regional Projects are strategically located 1.6 to 4.5 km north of the hard rock spodumene lithium-bearing pegmatites found on Corvette, reported by Patriot Battery Metals. (“Patriot”) In a news release dated 31 August 2022. It refers to a mineralized lithium-bearing drilling interval containing 1.65% Li.₂O and 193 ppm Ta₂〇_Five Over 159.7 meters from borehole CV22-042.

The Mithril and Mithril Area Projects cover up to 778 square kilometers and consist of a total of 1,534 map-designated claims spread across eight claim blocks located north and south of the Patriot’s pegmatite fields. A total of 47 map-specific claims were recently added to the main block of the Mithril Project. These are partly adjacent to the Patriot’s current claims. Initially targeted at Cu-Mo-Au-Ag mineralization, these projects are now also being evaluated for lithium-bearing pegmatite mineralization, which could add value to current metallogenesis.

The demand of the electric vehicle industry and the current unstable geopolitical situation are increasing the global demand for lithium. Wholly-owned Mithril and Mithril regional projects offer an opportunity to potentially contribute to this growing demand.
