Marcel Lamont Jacobs returns from injury to win gold in the 100m at the Euro Championships
Defending Olympic 100m Champion of Italy Marcel Lamont Jacobsreturned to the track on Tuesday night to win the men’s 100m at the European Athletics Championships in Munich. Won his first European 100m title.
Jacobs posted the best time of the season Jarnell Hughes of Team GB, While it was a close second with 9.99 seconds, Jeremiah Azoo Team GB’s Bronze medal in 10.13 seconds.

Jacobs withdrew from the World Championship semifinals in Eugene last month because of the injuries he sustained to his biceps (thigh muscle). His injury also resulted in him withdrawing from three Diamond League games earlier this season.
Many fans were looking forward to Jacobs’ Tokyo rematch, André de Grasse and US sprinter and current world champion Fred Curry It will take place in Eugene, but fans will have to wait until the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
It’s unclear if Jacobs intends to continue the season with one of his final three Diamond League matches, or start preparing. Defend his World Indoor Title China next March.
