Leamington Man’s Lucky Number Wins $1M in Lotto MAX

A Leamington man has become a million dollars richer thanks to playing a lucky number based on an important date with his family in Lotto MAX.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has confirmed that Michel Kassas won the Maxmillions prize in the October 7th Lotto Max draw.

Kassas told OLG that he’s only been playing the lottery regularly for about a year, and Lotto MAX and Lotto 6/49 are his favorite games.

A social services worker said she purchased the tickets online through her OLG.ca account.

“I told my mom that I won $1 million. She cried with joy,” Casas said. “My heart is so full. This victory gives me hope.”

Lotto MAX drawings run twice a week for $5 each.

Maxmillions become available when the jackpot reaches $50 million. To win the $1 million prize at Maxmillions, you need to match 7 numbers on one line of your ticket.

The odds of winning a Maxmillions prize are 1 in 33,294,800.
