That old real estate adage was just that when Mohammad Chowdhury and his wife Rifat Hossein decided to build a new building in southeast Edmonton.

Originally from South Asia, both immigrated to Canada and first came here as students, but the location is the main reason they chose Laurel Crossing.

Laurel Crossing was looking for a new home because the townhome on the south side was too small, and on three occasions Laurel Crossing provided us with the right location. It’s a community with good access to Asian grocery stores and eateries, and a good selection of public transportation options. Equally important, it was a place that offered them the opportunity to design their homes to their taste and style.

“My son grew up and needed more space, so we wanted to find a bigger place,” said Chowdhuri, who wanted to build a new building because of the flexibility in choosing floor plans, colors and design schemes. After settling on Laurel Crossing, I chose one of the seven builders in the community, the Parkwood Master Builder, and chose the Alexandria model.

According to Ron Torrella, Area Sales Manager for Parkwood, Alexandria is Parkwood’s most popular plan.

“We looked at many builders,” says Chowdhuri. “Their showhouse is a great representation of the model we built.”

The couple loved that when they saw the show home, they were able to get a good idea of ​​what the home would look like without being overwhelmed by the upgrades on the show home. also found the model they chose offered excellent value and features.

It’s been at least a decade since Parkwood began selling homes in Laurel Crossing.
