‘I Want To Dance With Someone’ Trailer Sees Naomi Ackie Bring Out Whitney Houston’s Strength

The electrifying rise of Whitney Houston takes center stage.

On Wednesday, Sony Pictures released a new trailer for its upcoming biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, which stars Naomi Ackie as the iconic singer.

The official synopsis describes the film as “an unrestrained portrait of the complex and multifaceted woman behind The Voice.”

In the trailer’s first scene, Ackies’ Houston is asked by a radio host about criticism that her music isn’t black enough.
