Murphy said he was devastated by Monteith’s death. Especially after getting the impression that the young actor was improving after the interventions he staged for him.

Murphy said the “Quarterback” episode was the one he’d only seen once, but if he could do it all over again, he’d just pause the show for a bit while the cast and crew healed from Monteith’s tragic death. I said yes.
