Girl killed in wrong-way tractor accident, Waterloo police investigating

Police in the Waterloo area are investigating a wrong-way tractor driver who fatally injured a young child.

The incident occurred just after 10:00 am on Monday at a property near Sandy Hills Drive and Arthur Street North in Woolwich Township, about 10 kilometers north of Waterloo.

The child, identified as a girl, was taken to a hospital outside the area and pronounced dead, Waterloo District Police said in a news release on 8 November.

The 41-year-old tractor driver was not injured.

Members of the WRPS Traffic Services Unit continue to investigate.
