Ford Files 19 Trademark Applications, Preparing for Possible Metaverse Push – Metaverse Bitcoin News
Automotive giant Ford has filed 19 trademark applications related to potential Metaverse activity. In the document, the company hinted at the potential launch of his NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) for the Ford brand in its own market, including Mustang, Mustang Mach E, and Bronco.
Ford hints at Metaverse move
Ford, one of the largest US-based automotive brands, has filed multiple trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as it prepares for a possible foray into the Metaverse. The company seeks to protect its activities, including offering Ford-branded NFTs on its own NFT marketplace. These NFTs may contain text, audio, or video associated with your brand.
Some of these applications include 150 Lightning, Lincoln, Ford, Lightning, Bronco, Explorer, Raptor, Mustang Mach-E, Transit, Escape, Expedition, Maverick, Ranger, and Mustang.
Digital clothing containing references to brands and digital spare parts of any of the aforementioned models are also subject to trademark applications. This could be one of the first steps in Ford’s organized digital strategy, said USPTO-licensed attorney Mike Kondoudis. claimed The company was making a “big move” to the Metaverse with these filings.
ford digital expansion
The move by Ford isn’t surprising given that the company has previously said it is looking to the digital world to create new ways to grow its business. In September, Ford’s global brand Alexandra Ford, his merchandising director for his English, said:
You can find passionate Ford fans anywhere in the world. We want to offer them an inspiring collection of merchandise and accessories, as well as digital products like his NFTs.
Ford is the latest of a number of companies already embracing these digital worlds and products as part of their growth strategies. Just recently, French carmaker Renault also moved in this direction, with the Metaverse he platform he partnered with The Sandbox to offer a virtual car experience on the brand’s products.
Other brands such as South Korean car company Hyundai are also entering the metaverse by presenting some of their future automotive products in the metaverse known as Zepeto.
