de Havilland Canada Selects Wheatland County to Home to New Aircraft Manufacturing Facility in Alberta, Canadian Business Journal

Wheatland County, Alberta, September 21, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — de Havilland Canada today announced that it will site a new aircraft facility in Wheatland County, Alberta.

A 1,500-acre site, de Havilland Field will consist of a state-of-the-art aircraft assembly facility, runway, parts manufacturing and distribution center, maintenance, repair and overhaul center. The site also has an educational space to train the workforce of the future, a general office building, and the de Havilland Aviation Museum.

The de Havilland airfield is also the site of final assembly for the DHC-515 firefighting aircraft, DHC-6 Twin Otter and Dash 8-400 aircraft that launched earlier this year. back to production.
