TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx have made the Connect 6ix consortium the preferred design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the Ontario Line Rolling Stock, Systems and Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) contract. announced as a proponent. The RSSOM contract is one of several to provide the Ontario Line, a 15.6-kilometer independent rapid transit line between the Ontario Science Center and Exhibition/Ontario Place.

The Connect 6ix team ranked first after evaluating RFPs submitted in June 2022. The team is currently in ongoing negotiations with Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx, with final contracts expected to be awarded later this year.
