This is an editorial by Chris Smith, Event Ticket Manager at BTC Inc. Disclaimer: BTC Inc. is the parent company of Bitcoin Magazine and Bitcoin Conference.
A lot has happened in the last three months since Bitcoin Amsterdam was announced. Bitcoin enthusiasts from all over the world are pouring into the city, and an orange wave is dominating the city. With over 100 confirmed speakers and over 3,000 people expected onsite, it looks like Venice in the north will be celebrating Bitcoin’s winter storm.
As I explained in my previous article “The Bitcoin Conference and the Pursuit of Hyperbitcoinization”, I tried to answer a few questions such as:
What is hyperbitcoinization? Why did you choose Amsterdam? And why go global at the Bitcoin conference?
In this article, I aim to put a particular focus on Bitcoin Amsterdam and highlight what I believe will be the real spark in accelerating hyperbitcoinization in Europe. I will cover two different topics. Bitcoin is personally the best and Bitcoin Amsterdam aims to prove that point once again.
Exciting line-up
With two days of action-packed speaker lineups, authentic art galleries, and the European Sound Money Fest, there’s no shortage of experiences at Bitcoin Amsterdam. If you were in Miami you can expect the same energy, but this time with a European flare. In partnership with Amsterdam Decentralized, the Bitcoin Conference will be a grassroots event combined with the freedom-first ethos the Benelux region is known for. We have planned a full three-day agenda focused on Bitcoin adoption. Here are some of my favorite agenda highlights you don’t want to miss.
“Decentralization”
Location: Moon Arena (main stage)
Guests: Nigel Farage and Peter McCormack
Nigel Farage joins Peter McCormack on the main stage to discuss decentralization and how to make Europe more financially competitive. GB News’ “Farage” will air live on Thursday, October 13, his second GA day of the event, at 8pm (GMT+2).
“This is an opportunity to wake people up to the fact that Bitcoin is real and will continue to exist,” Nigel Farage said when asked about future appearances at the event. says so. “I am looking forward to attending the conference in Amsterdam and broadcasting the GB News program live.”
“Free Assange”
Location: Moon Arena (main stage)
Guest: Stella Assange
One of the most anticipated and exciting talks at the conference is the chance to hear Stella Assange discuss Bitcoin, her husband’s story, and how the two connect.this is can’t miss discussion. Watch at 3:15 p.m. on GA first day of the event.
“Struggle for Freedom”
Location: Moon Arena (main stage)
Guests: Leopoldo Lopez, Alex Gladstein
Another highly anticipated fireside chat will feature Leopoldo Lopez and Alex Gladstein discussing the struggle for freedom. “The Future of Sidechains”
Location: Moon Arena (main stage)
Guests: Adam Back, Aaron van Wirdum, Paul Sztorc
I have to admit, this is the panel I’m most looking forward to. Whenever I get the chance to hear Adam, Aaron, Paul and other brilliant minds discuss high-level Bitcoin topics, I feel FOMO is present. For more information, stop by the Main Stage at 11:55am on GA Day 1. The future of sidechains.
“Has the Bitcoin Inflation Hedging Story Failed?”
Location: Moon Arena (main stage)

At 10:10 am on the first GA day, attendees will be able to hear a conversation on the highly controversial topic of Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation. Jeff Booth and Greg Foss both provide great conversations on risk management, and Niko and Philip provide their expertise in European finance and policy. This combination is one of the pleasures. Luckily, this is the first panel on the agenda.
“Why Bitcoin? Understanding the macro landscape”
Location: The Deep Sessions (*whale pass required)
Guest: Dylan LeClair
The macro environment is incredibly dynamic these days, and Bitcoin is experiencing volatility right in the middle of it. We will provide a key discussion on this at 2:15pm on the first GA day. A whale pass is required for this fireside chat. Check out all the great extras you get with this pass here.
“Bitcoin Media Issues”

The recent controversy behind Jemima Kelly’s recent article on Forbes, Pete Rizzo’s recent article on Bitcoin Maximalism, plus the addition of some of the industry’s most acclaimed journalists, has brought this panel to controversy. We aim to face the , head-on, and put the noise aside. Bitcoin Amsterdam aims to provide a place where all opinions are welcome and discussion is encouraged, and this panel tries to take that concept to its fullest. Check back at 9:55am on Day 2 of GA.
More than just panels
In addition to the agenda and the amazing panels planned, the event experience includes more than just hearing on stage.

Finally, here are some thoughts on Bitcoin Amsterdam from David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine.
“Europe lags other regions in terms of regulation and government acceptance, but demand from public investors and institutions is one of the highest in the world.
Additionally, the continent’s key Bitcoin developer and innovator communities are helping shape the future of digital currency excellence in the world, and it continues to rise.
Europe has been at the forefront of financial and technological innovation for over 500 years, and Amsterdam has played a particularly notable role in the development of modern banking, making it the perfect location for the first European event.
European regulators have been slow to embrace Bitcoin’s potential so far, but the combination of the continent’s history and the continued high demand for Bitcoin makes it very clear to our community that European governments It means that we can provide the support, collaboration, and direction that we have failed to provide to.Together, we will pursue the common goal of hyperbitcoinization. “
