Aon Selects Global Head of ESG Trading Advisory Services
Aon announced the appointment of Luise O’Gorman (pictured above) as Global Head of ESG Transaction Advisory Services for its M&A and Transaction Solutions practice.
In his new role, O’Gorman will lead the creation and development of environmental, social and governance proposals for M&A and other transactions to meet growing demand for pre-acquisition ESG solutions and post-acquisition support. Designed to Aon describes trading services for portfolio companies owned by financial sponsors.
Edwin Charnaud, Chairman of Aon’s M&A and Transaction Solutions, said:
“As part of the due diligence process, buyers will increasingly scrutinize how targets address the variability of climate risks and contribute to environmental goals, determine whether they are socially responsible and , identifying financial, compliance, and reputational risks.On the sell-side, dealmakers may want to highlight opportunities to leverage the positive ESG credentials of their targets.”
Prior to joining Aon, he was a management consultant with a focus on climate risk, energy transition, renewable energy and sustainability. He has worked with PwC and Baringa Partners as an independent consultant advising government and private companies in the UK and European Union, particularly in the energy and financial services industries. Most recently, he advised a multinational financial services company on how to comply with recent regulations by incorporating climate risk considerations into its business and operating models.
