Union members at Der Foods’ Boulangerie-Grissol facility in Sainte-Martine, southwest of Montreal, accepted a new contract offer, ending an unrestricted strike that began last Sunday. He will return to work, the Syndicate des Employers ProfĂ©nels et Bureau (SEPB) union said.
Eighty-eight employees voted in favor of the latest management proposal at Thursday afternoon’s general meeting, with 79% of the votes cast. The offer was made on Tuesday.

The contract includes a salary increase of approximately 17.5% over five years. Other improvements have been made to night and weekend premiums and holidays, the union said. The union wanted him to raise his wages by 18 percent over three years, but his employer initially offered him a raise of 13.25 percent over four years.
Boulangerie Grissol produces several dry packaged bread products such as melba toast, bread sticks and croutons.
