A number of provincial awards had been celebrated by Frank Damage Secondary’s drama division in the course of the latest B.C. Nationwide Theatre Faculty DramaFest.
The scholars’ “Work in Progress” play gained the Wayne Fairhead Spirit of the Pageant award and accolades for Excellence in Achievement and Excellent Piece of Devised Theatre, as detailed on bcdramafestival.com.
For the Newton-area faculty it was a profitable weekend of drama on the pageant, held Might 4-7 for the primary time since 2020 at Douglas Faculty in New Westminster.

The play was a fruits of a capstone venture that concerned at the very least 30 hours of pupil time in a ardour venture.
“That’s a requirement for commencement,” Henderson famous, “and I created a category of Performing 11 and 12 and Careers collectively so that everybody who joined the category was making a collective capstone venture.”
