The 23-year-old boy, who was initially charged with possessing fentanyl for human trafficking purposes, pleaded guilty to a minor charge of possessing fentanyl in Saskatoon state court last month. He also pleaded guilty to possessing less than $5,000 in criminal proceeds.
Federal Crown Prosecutor Lisa Morin said on April 15, 2021, after El Timani and another man left an apartment on the 100 block of Edinburgh Place that was the subject of a seven-day drug raid. said he was arrested.
Officers were escorted to the apartment after drugs and a large amount of cash were found in a car parked on the short trip from Saskatoon to Edmonton, Morin said.

Defense attorney Mark Jordan said his client had no parental support because his parents live abroad. He does construction work and plumbing and wants to put this “unfortunate chapter behind him,” Jordan told the court.

While serving time in the community, Eltimani is under a curfew from 11pm to 7am. He cannot consume or possess cannabis or drugs not prescribed by a doctor, nor can he go to bars or cannabis stores.
He must also complete 100 hours of community service within the first 18 months of sentencing and must not own any electronic devices other than one cell phone registered in his name. must submit to a warrantless search by a police officer who has reasonable grounds to suspect him. You may have violated any terms related to drug use or possession.
El-Timani was also ordered not to contact two other accomplices, including 22-year-old Mourtar Abdi, who was arrested with El-Timani.
Abdi pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a loaded 9mm handgun and was sentenced to approximately two and a half years in prison, which was reduced by one day to two years after enhanced remand credits were applied.
