The group of artists will be featured at the Lind Prize 2022 Exhibition at the North Vancouver Gallery from December 10th to January 29th, 2023.

The award is presented each year to an emerging BC-based artist working across the mediums of film, photography or video. Her seven shortlisted works span a range of photographic mediums, from prints to video installations, scans to collages.
Selected from 50 nominations, this year’s finalists are Simranpreet Anand, Wei Chen, Sidney Gordon, Natasha Katedralis, Jake Kimble, Aaron Leon, and Katayoon Yousefbigloo.
The 2022 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on January 26, 2023.
“Since 2016, the Lind Prize has been recognizing young artists with a clear eye and creative vision,” said Reid Shier, director of The Polygon Gallery, in a statement. “This award has touched the lives of many emerging BC artists and we look forward to supporting even more talented individuals who are making significant contributions to his vibrant art scene in Vancouver I am doing it.”

To celebrate Polygon Gallery’s 5th anniversary, this year’s prize has been expanded by Lind to $10,000. Each shortlisted artist will receive her $2,500, supported by Kenos Urban Development.
This year’s winners are chosen by a jury of art experts, including Emmy Lee Wall, Executive Director of the Capture Photography Festival. Richard Hill, Smith Jalislowski Senior Curator of Canadian Art at Vancouver Art Gallery. Samuel Roy Bois, artist and assistant professor of creative studies at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan. In addition to cash prizes, winners will have the opportunity to create a project at Polygon Gallery.
The Lind Prize 2022 opening reception will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 7pm
