I’m a fan of good breakfast most of the time. Eggs on toast, cottage cheese with half cherry tomatoes, onion bagels, cream cheese. These are my favorite weekday breakfasts. But on weekends, especially on days when I don’t do much, I welcome a sweet and hard breakfast.Give me a stack of pancakes, waffles, or french toast and aaa Good youtube videoAnd I’m happy.

Unfortunately, if you need them, you’ll have to create them yourself. This is entirely my fault. My boyfriend gave up cooking in my kitchen, mainly because I hate hovering and criticizing.

I’m cooking, so I try to streamline as much as possible.Due to the nature of my work, making a branch can feel like working on the weekend, and that’s what I’m trying to do avoid. (I’m a union, baby.)

Waffle French toast is one of those very efficient movements. Instead of flipping the toast in half, the waffle iron cooks both sides at once, cutting cooking time in half. (It’s probably faster to make a lot of French toast with a large griddle, but I don’t have one of them and I can only put 2 slices of toast in the pan at a time.)

But beyond efficiency, waffle french toast (or is it french toast waffle?) Is the best of both worlds. The inside is fluffy and egg-like, and the surface is crisper thanks to the dibot. Divot is also great for putting maple syrup (or maple butter), and putting syrup in my mouth is half the point of these breakfast carbs.

Rich white bread is best here, but I used sandwich bread this morning, but the French toast was still delicious. Waffle iron squish. Using bread that is too thin can result in flat French toast. Most French toast recipes can be waffled, but first drain the excess eggs. While the waffle iron was hot, the eggs and half and half soaked parts were placed in a wire rack for a few minutes.

Waffle French toast (make 2-3 slices depending on the thickness of the bread)

material:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup half & half
  • Vanilla extract 3/4 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 slices of thick white bread

Place all ingredients except bread in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a whisk. Soak both sides of each pan in a mixture of eggs and set in a wire rack to drip excess. Heat the waffle iron to medium heat. Once heated, place the bread soaked in eggs and dairy in the middle of the waffle iron and cook for 2-4 minutes until the toast turns brown and the outside is crispy, depending on the thickness of the bread.Served with butter and maple syrup, or Maple butter syrup..
